Hey Crushers!

We will be playing at Whiskey Roadhouse in the Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Sunday, May 2nd from 7-9pm. Please come out and join us if you can. This is actually an ‘audition’ night there  for us and if we do well we will be asked back to play a Thursday night and if that goes well we will be asked back on a weekend night. Woo hoo! We will be judged not only on our performance and energy level but also by the crowd we draw in so spread the word and please, please come out!! I know it’s a Sunday night but the good thing is it’s only until 9pm.    Thanks everyone!

Well Crushers, the votes are in and we are happy to announce that we are one of the winners of The Battle of the Bands and will, in fact, be playing the 19th Hole at the Cox Classic this July! We worked very hard and are so thankful to all of you who helped us out by taking the time to submit your vote for us, thank you!!! We will update you all when we have the time and date scheduled for the 19th Hole.

In the meantime…we will be playing at The Boulevard on 152nd and Maple this Saturday, April 24th from 9pm-1am. Come  on out and celebrate our V-I-C-T-O-R-Y with us!!

There will be 5 bands competing, we are scheduled to go up 4th. If you can’t join us at The Tropics  you can still vote for us by going to www.thereader.com and clicking on the ‘vote for what band plays the 19th hole at the Cox Classic’ box. Big news! We, along with 9 other bands,  have been chosen to compete in the Battle of the Bands competition put on by The Omaha Reader for a chance to play the 19th Hole at the Cox Classic! Please join us for the event at The Tropics  (www.tropicsomaha.com ) 168th and W. Maple on Friday, April 2nd. There we be 5 bands competing that night, we are scheduled to go up 4th. Come on out and bring all your friends. We can’t wait to see you all!

We hope you all had a joyous and safe holiday season. We had the pleasure of playing Creighton University’s end of semester Christmas Party on December 18th at Castle Barrett’s and we had a blast!  Be sure to check out the website on the Crusher Cam page to see pics of the fabulously fun crowd and night!

We are also pleased to announce our first public gig of 2010 at The Boulevard 15244 West Maple Rd. Omaha…Saturday January, 16th…yes finally a Saturday night! We will start around 8:30-9:00pm so mark your calendars… can’t wait to see you all there! We have a whole new set of songs as well as our two newest additions Allyson and Shawn, they are both awesome.  I’m sure you will love them as much as we do! Once again a big thanks to you all for your support, we can’t do this without YOU!

After a few bumps in the road we are happy to say that we are back to a full line up again! We would like to welcome our new lead guitarist, Shawn to the VC family. Shawn is an amazing guitarist and a fantastic vocalist as well. He will bring even more fun to our live shows. You can expect to see us a lot more playing out and about the Omaha and outlying areas. Be sure to check our website anytime you are ready to hit the town…we would love to share an evening of fun with you. We want to thank you all for your support and patience and look forward to a lot of fun times ahead!

Hey Crushers!

Thank you to those who were able to come out and check out our show last night at the Prestige. Once again we had a lot of fun and you guys are the reason for it! If you missed it, you can catch us next time. We are working on trying to get weekend shows but right now that is difficult because most places have their weekends booked until Jan 1. But we will keep trying. In the meantime, there will probably be some more Thursday shows. We will keep you posted.

On another note, our audition process for our second female singer has come to an end. Congratulations to Allyson, she will be joining the Velvet Crush family. Her sparkling personality and beautiful vocals are sure to add to our sound. Be sure to come see her big debut with us very soon. You can check her out here.  We also want to say a big THANK YOU to Melissa who has been doing an amazing job filling in as our second female vocalist until we could find a suitable replacement. We loved having her and we will miss her very much.
